Welcome Jeff! Tell us a bit about yourself and your operation (and I don't mean your last medical procedure)

I run a small shop in northern California.  I have a very old 6 color american Rototex automatic.  The thing is old, but it gets the job done.  Ive been printing for 4 years now, and have grown my shop from just 2 clients to 10 brokers and multiple return customers.  Though my quantities i receive are only in the 100-500 range per job, it keeps me busy throught the week.

I am looking at getting a new (used) press next year.  Getting amped to go to my first screenprinting show in January in long beach.

Thats about it for me.  I just tend to keep quiet and busy, until i rip a screen...

Best of luck to you Jeff.

A friend of mine in North Jersey uses a Rototex auto.  Bought in the early 80's I believe and the thing is still pumping out shirts today.

Oh yeah, I actually printed t-shirts too for over 30 years.

Jeff, dude 100-500 pc jobs are the sweet spot for making good money, yeah the large orders can make a nice profit but comes with alot more overhead than most people think it does, but on the other hand you might want to tackle those orders and expand your biz.

Everything I have read in the boards for the past few years, makes this seem like a community Id like to be a part of, and to contribute to.

Thanks for everything everyone!

welcome aboard!

We have a rototex here and it's used almost every day. We'll probably replace soon, but only because we can get something that will register faster . . .

Also, as mentioned before, 100-500 is the best size order! Our average is 72 and the most common order is 48 pieces. 100 or more would be awesome.

Yes, we've won our share of awards, and yes, I've tested stuff and read the scientific papers, but ultimately take everything I say with more than just a grain of salt! So if you are looking for trouble, just do as I say or even better, do something I said years ago!
