Controller, you just go with the arduino like he has... I saw those at Pierre's favorite store (Microcenter or whatever it's called) for freaking $4 bucks! That's all you need to drive one of these guys. Servo wise, I don't know. I've been thinking about looking for something on that end because of other projects. Really you just need one with a driver to get the juice to it as the arduino won't supply the juice we would like to see. Even if you went with something less "controllable" you could always put limit switches in there (like proxies on an auto) to turn the direction around/off.
