8' Fluorescent UV Block Guards?

Edit:  Who has 8' bulbs in their darkrooms/screen rooms and what are you using to filter them?  Source?
So far, Litho Gold sleeves seem to be the best option.

tried them...UV went right through them...

also, you can buy 4 footers and put them together into an 8ft

Just get some direct replacement 8'LED bulbs and you'll never work in a dark room again. I put 2 screen right next to 4 -4'  coated with Saati PHU for 2 days.  One I just washed and it washed right out, the other I exposed and worked perfect.  The company I get my electrical supplies for my day job said they have zero UV output in the cool-warm white bulbs.

Here is what we use, I know it is for 4' bulbs but they may have 8' ones as well. Or just put 2 4' ones end to end!

careful, the LEDs I have also say zero UV and guess what...it will bake a screen in about 20-30 minutes.  it jacks up our exposure so bad I had to cover them...tried the clear UV sleeves, then put a UV film over that and still wasn't good enough

Quality LEDs won't emitt any UV. And LED in the 3500k-5000k with a CREE or DLC led will emit 0 UV.  Here lately there are tube LED showing up in the big box stores that have multi spectrum. Another thing that could possibly cause issue is if  the retrofit uses the ballast.  All the ones that I have tested you strip out the ballast and rewire for 120v.  They also have a filter and not a open led like others I've seen. 

Due to diffrent conditions, emulsion, environments it is always best to test.

I have 8' fluorescent in my "dark room" no filters on them. Was very worried about it for the few months but couldn't find filters. They are the very skinny bulbs. Don't remember the numbers. I keep my coated screens in a sheet covered rack with no issues. I know some shops that have filters but still keep their screens coated screens covered.

This is mine and no covers over the screens and I even have a yellow tinted window on the storage side.  ZERO problems.

We just did a test and after 12 or so hours we got some resistance at 3 hours of exposure to our florescents.  At 9 hours it was fully cooked and major resistance at 7 and 8 but you could see it was different.

So with our current setup I'd be comfortable with a screen being out for an hour, two hours MAX without any negative effects.  Granted, I can't see any reason that this would happen, but it's good to know your limitations.
