emulsion for discharge?
« on: September 16, 2011, 09:54:53 AM »
We used the emulision for discharge printing.  Ulano QT Discharge.
Then we tried our regular emulsion, Ulano QLT and put on a Hardner.
The screens with the hardner held up a lot better.

A hardener is pretty much necessary. If you're having difficulty reclaiming try the CCI 25WR and HardenerX. For long runs use the leftover emulsion as a full blockout and post expose X2 your normal exposure.

The Rep from CCI just dropped some of this off to me to try. Running a job on Monday with it. Cant wait.

For those that can't bear the exposure time of diazo,  CCI's ProChem TexCoat plus post hardener is the most water resistant photopolymer I've seen. Reclaims just fine, we use a dip tank though.

We've done 2K+ pc discharge runs with our emulsion with no issues, IMS905 Nazdar's QTX with Ulano C10-D diazo, post exposed 2x-3x but no hardner.

Polycol One Coat and Aquasol HV/HVP are SBQ's that actually come with diazo if you want it.  I happened on this combo by accident, Nazdar/Ulano doesn't package it this way, but it works for me.
