Curing check New system?

As far as I know the best way to check curing of both plastisol and WB is by washing the garment about 5 times.
We also try stretching plastisol to see if it cracks and do rub tests on WB.
I recently had a client dig into the plastisol with his finger nail, he managed to dig a bit out and claimed that it was not cured properly.
As far as I know even cured plastisol can be scraped off, especially puff etc.
Anybody have and experience with this?

to some degree yes, it's an abrasion test.  we use a car key here...don't go crazy with it wolverine style, but if a key will easily take the ink off more than likely it will in the washer/dryer as well.

You could always wash test the one he scraped.
On a similar note, who reads the tiny text on the back of the tiny tag that says wash inside out (and no bleach).

Hi Maxie,

   By switching to your new method, you will now see what your customs see when they start washing your prints. You not only will see more happy customers, but also see YOUR work hold the test of time, many years down the road. Which will lead to more repeat business.

   In my opinion this is the ONLY way to test your garments ! As a business owner you need to know what happens to your prints once they leave you facility.

   Any plastisol  can be scratched or rubbed off with enough work and pressure..

  This process will pay off over time.. Good Job !

One of our customers that came in yesterday wearing his work shirt and saying it has help up fine with 3 years of washing weekly.  Shirt looked great and he ordered more finally.  Maybe he would have been in after a year instead of it didn't hold up as well? hmm...
