Help from your friends is where it is at
« on: April 27, 2015, 08:40:23 PM »
Ok...Read This...
This is my new shop shirt.
Had a good friend tell me a trick with my print. It was green and would not pop.
Using same screens and I changed 1 blade.
He said
"Think about this Black over yellow makes green. Black over red or orange makes a warm red brown." and "Most gain is usually in the 1/4 tone and mid tone."

Fellows if you ever think you can't learn something your wrong and when a screen print God tells you something you better listen.

New print on right with more Hi-lite and one on black mesh poly.

I love my Job and Friends.

Nice. Sounds like good friends to have. Understanding good color theory is an important thing in screen printing. I think sometimes it gets over looked.

How come the text changed so drastically between the 2 blue samples?

My question is.. Was the yellow screen changed to an orange/red? Because it's missing in the text but present on the nose.. How was the yellow made? Was the seps redone? Where's the yellow that was in the text? It seems like the exact underbase was used for the black shirt because the red/orange under black lost it's punch.. Brightness is the absence of black..

Looks like that is where the more highlight white came in.  Very nice print though
It's not a job if you love doing it.
