Printing on Moleskin?

Anybody have any experience with such a thing?

We are just running a test one today for the client, not even a sample really... just putting a left chest that we already have ready to go on there so they can see it.

We don't have anything but plastisol really (we technically do have some WB stuff, but all textile stuff).  Since it doesn't have to be washed, I'm assuming a good solid "flash" will be good enough.  This is assuming that moleskin wouldn't appreciate a good solid trip down the dryer.

What are you guy's thoughts?

Moleskin itself, is a heavy cotton known for durability.

Are you talking about moleskin with adhesive added like for foot blister padding?

Umm... "leather" material on the outside of like little notebooks.  In this case it's a "counter pad"... it folds with some sort of structure material (cardboard?) inside.  It's a little bigger than the size of a talley book, but it doesn't have any paper or anything inside of it.  NO clue what this is for.

It appears that the term "moleskin" is tossed around a little freely, and you'll have to really figure out what the heck it is.
A company like Nazdar will check it out and suggest their best product, perhaps a solvent based air dry ink.

I remember when I started out I tried to be all things to all potential customers before zeroing in on apparel, or at least similar materials.
Frankly, I was in a small place, and didn't have the room to stick with the various flat stock substrates, especially those requiring air drying on racks.

I wasn't clear.  This is happening today.

She came in and just wants to see how it will turn out.  I'm not looking to get into all sorts of weird things... if we can do it with plastisol then awesome.. if not then we will figure out a different way or abandon ship.
