Any advice? Never done this particular combo and customer says shirts from last printer didn't hold up. Ink flaked off. Not to excited about this job but hate to say no to the business. We have MHM auto and also a small manual. Shirts will be Augusta brand.

If ink flaked off, I'm guessing poor cure. Otherwise, whether it's true metallic or shimmer, either the metal powder or the tiny plastic flakes are in a conventional clear ink type base.

Do white underbase don't flash total dry then metallic gold. Then when curing little extra time n dryer since the ink reflect the heat.

Ok good thoughts. Next part of the equation. I have a Vastex infrared dryer. Prob not the best for poly but it's what we have. Using QCM metallic gold ink. Bought a gallon because it was the only metallic I could get in a hurry from local supplier (Multicraft) when I needed it for a job on cotton tees. I'm hearing that gas dryer best choice for poly printing...hoping to make that investment soon. Meanwhile....anyone have a preferred choice for metallic ink?
