Mr Blue Moon
Sorry you are still having issues! From my arm chair quarterback position you for sure should not have this problem.
the burner basket on that burner consist of two 6" Perforated plates on each side of the burner manifold tube.
If there is a big difference in the shape of the plates you will have air/gas mixing ratio problems. I have seen the
plates straight, and also with a slight Vee at the the top depending on burner model. from my memory which is not always
the best you had this problem since New? To fix problem I would buy New plates and rebuild the burner. A few hours
at the most. When I took the burner out I would Look at the fiberglass packing to make sure it is present! Make sure all screws
are in burner basket. Look Down Burner Tube for obstruction. Make sure all burner holes are clean and clear with a twist drill
and your fingers. Under normal conditions the "maxon airflow" burners are bullet proof and can be fixed for not a lot of money.
Again an easy fix that WILL solve the problem. Start from Square One You Can Do it! Look for obvious problems. Call me if I can Help.
