Pneumatic Static Stretcher
« on: February 11, 2015, 03:36:04 PM »
I have a pneumatic static screen stretcher made by Rhinotech. Don't know the year or the model number. They DO have parts for it and are familiar with it. Since they are local one of the guys stopped by on his way in to work and looked over it a bit ago. It works as it is supposed to. It can be modified to stretch all sizes of screens. The place I got it from was stretching 6'x8' screens with it. You can see in the pictures below that it has 8 sets of pneumatic on it now, there are actually 10 sets in total. I removed 2 sets when I modified it to stretch smaller(23x31) screens. It is attached to a big ass table, it is roughly 5.5'x10.5, it has wheels, a bottom shelf and is sturdy as all hell. The pressure on each side can be adjusted independently if needed, we did them in  pairs for equal tension.

This thing works just fine, and if any parts do happen to break they are super easy to find. I would actually keep it here, but we have a local vendor that stretches our screens for little over what it costed me. It is also BIG and we need the space more than the option to stretch in house. Looking to get maybe $100 for the unit. You can ask me 2 questions about it, the 3rd question raises the price $50. If you come take it and the table(needs to be disassembled) you can have it for $50. If you make fun of how messy our basement is in the pics, the price goes up $20 for each wise crack.

No, I just didn't move it out for the pic. I am guessing it is somewhat obvious I want to devote as little time to this removal as possible!  ;)

It's just the frame etc right, not the light?  I picked up a huge vacuum frame and am in the market for a 5k MH now (Zoo is gonna hook me up sometime soon I think :D).  Shoot away!

The 1k MH is still going strong in my diy unit though for now.  Can't thank you enough for that Homer!

After I read all your stipulations, I decided there's no way I'd be able to afford it. ;D

My fat ass just clean broke through the ice and I'm quickly sinking. (That's two?)

I would actually consider you to be "in shape"(I haven't admitted to myself that I am fat yet, just big boned) I bet you would tear it up in a pair of figure skates! ;D

For all of you guys in Texas, Florida, Louisiana and California, those are like a pair of shoes with a blade on the bottom you(or in this case Dave) simply dance on the surface of the ice... Pretty amazing what we do here in these northern states!

Alex, I won't even tell everyone about the time you were here and we went skating (outdoors). The memories of the gentle glides we did together. The mirrored Camel Spins, choctaws. Our perfect Death Spirals and Hydrant Lifts. (My arms are still a bit sore). The amazing Double Salchows, and the magnificent Triple Toe Loops to finish it all off.  What a program.

Have I talked my way out of my price range now?

I defer to you. Hydrant Lifts!? ;D;D;D

Price is now cut in half for anyone! So I think that makes it like $25.

I really don't want to haul it in for scrap...
