« on: January 23, 2015, 12:26:09 AM »
Anyone have a source to buy new print heads for Epson 3000 ?
I hit Google found only one source,

http://www.worldclassink.com/Epson-DX2-Black-Printhead-F056010-F056030-Printhead-item65117.html

there has got to be more or at least I hope there are.
Any help would be appreciated.

Last one I bought was from Texas.

Levi Systems (David Levi)
2510 Electronics Lane #910
Dallas, TX  75220-1227
214-350-4961

I know they are still in business, because I called just last week, for a quote on a printhead for a Workforce 1100. (~$115.00--shipped, for the 1100 If I remember correctly)

Couldn't "Sigmo" source them? I had heard they would be discontinued in 2012.

Dunno...

Good luck!
Stan

Last one I purchased was from the Inkjet Doctor, two yrs. ago. He is off the net now, at the time he said they were going to stop making them, but i think there still out there. Try this guy http://sigmowiggy.com/ he may be able to help.

Thanks guys for the info. I am pretty much missing my 3000 it was a work horse right up to the end.
I have 2 3000 backups but unfortunately they are not helping. I am  pretty much thinking I need to get this figured out or take up stamp collecting.
Thanks again

$115 for a head for a former $100 printer. Boggles the mind.
Of course, a year after I got a $79 close-out, some were asking $400 and more for leftover stock of this great value printer.
That rug really tied the room together, did it not?

Yeah. I didn't order one.  I've got a VERY well used 1100 that has just been super for us, that is now struggling.  I've snooped a little on craigslist and ebay for an economical replacement, but there is nothing local so far.  I want THAT printer.  It isn't persnickety about my aftermarket carts. It just goes and goes and goes. It is used as a general purpose printer in the front office.  Shipping a printer from a craigslist purchase has gotten to be $$ ridiculous, so the printhead at 115 actually may make some sense for my particular situation.

You may have read I got a 4800 and am setting it up for films. Shipping from PA to KS via UPS?? Just over $300.00 plus boxing in two separate boxes.  That was from a UPS franchise store, not an actual terminal, so I might have gotten a better deal.

SHIPPING SOCIALISM
I was told at a genuine UPS terminal, eBay, Amazon etc get a sweetheart deal, for which we wafes and urchins get to subsidize.  (So what's new?)

Mr. Moose tried to buy 2 of my 3000's that are gathering dust for parts. No joy...

Culprit? You guessed it. Shipping.

So he wants them. I want him to have them. Ain't gonna happen.

Yep, Though a tangental subject  shipping will affect almost all of our equipment purchases. The new dimensional weight rates are likely going to put the kibosh on me getting old static frames remeshed
