Ozzy Juice Users??

I got a 5er of Ozzy Juice SW-4. So far, as a degreaser great, as an ink degrader, awful. Beanie Doo is still the quickest liquefier we've used yet. Is anyone using Ozzy in a different SW than the 4 and seeing actual ink degrader reaction happening? I have some of the SW7 on the way to try it, I haven't been able to get anyone from the company itself to answer any questions relating to it's use for plastisol, could be because of the holidays and all. Just curious if anyone else is having success. I was excited at first because supposedly this chemical actually has an enzyme that eats the plastisol, or any petroleum/pvc products leaving a very low eco foot print. Maybe we just have the wrong version.

we use it here at M&R with great results cleaning squeegees and presses. You need SW-1 and it is useless without the smart washer. It has to be heated and go through a media filter or the microbes are not active. Contact Andy DaSilva and he will give you the right contact info. We will be showing it in our booth in Longbeach as a courtesy to the industry. We are not a distributor but recognize this is good for the industry.

Just found a video about the smart washer. Noooooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwww I get it. That's actually a pretty sweet idea. Never exhausting anything, just changing out a media filter every so often. I'm sure that put in the sun for a day or maybe ran through a dryer on a couple shirts takes care of any lingering plastisol but it seems that the ozzy actually eats and digests the bad leaving nothing bad behind NICE. It looks like the http://www.chemfree.com/products/sw-28.html would be the one for a shop like us. The inside size of the sink should allow a 23x31 frame to lay flat and splash free to remove the ink. I'd still love to have the EcoTex, but that is a little ways off. This looks like a good/better alternative from just de-inking in the washout booth. We do filter everything, but with this "nothing" goes out of the building.

We have not used for screens so can't say. Filters are cheap enough to throw away

Back when I started I had/have a buddy that has mass quantities of a degreasing agent that is used for cleaning up oil spills.  It has enzymes and such that eat up the oil.

I had asked if this would make a good degreaser and was met with lots of resistance about how I was just being cheap and I should use what is "designed" to be used for screen cleaning.  I used the oil field degreaser for the last 3+ years without any problem.  Now this company is using enzymes designed to eat up oil products and it's being touted as the greatest latest thing.

We also use this product to degrease fasteners before loctite use. Has lots of additional uses. Maybe you should have taken it to market.

Have to have an iron constitution to come to market with a new product with these sharks in the water.   Remember the guy that brought Baby Joe out right?  He was hammered constantly for his completely factual claims.  Same claims that you guys now beat and people flock to the product for.

I was just happy to score a few gallons from time to time that will last me practically forever!

I notice the ChemFree website shows where you can try a unit for 30days. Might be worth the call to see if this would hold up for print shops to try out and see if they like it. I would imagine if the chem, in the proper unit can easily and quickly break down ink from squeegees and floods, it should de-ink a screen easily too. I know, at least for us, if we send a screen to the back, it's intended that said screen will be fully reclaimed. If we rack a screen for a re-print, we card that ink and wipe with screen opener so that it doesn't have to be re-taped, or hit with a power washer and ink degrader. Beaniedoo for somthing like that is just too oily. And any of the others, like 701 ect eat into the emulsion if you aren't careful, so screen opener has always been the wipe down. We don't do a lot of racking/holding of screens so not a big issue for us. Interesting video of the stuff in action in their unit though for sure. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NHeORUA8V-E
