That rug really tied the room together, did it not?

I've lived a sheltered life apparently. I've always known these songs, but never the man. What a trademark character. I nver had even seent eh SNL skit till now. Thanks for that. It as classic.

Never went to many concerts of anyone worth mentioning, except for three in my life. Well 4 total.  Rat, Scorpions and Poison (I think).  Maybe they are all one and the same? and the last one was Prince when he debuted Purple rain with Sheila e. I really went for my gil ...and Sheila. When I did go, it was not a great experience..or was it?  I can't remember.  All I know is that the people were very friendly and generous because they kept passing everything they had around to strangers. That was the extent of my concert life.

Cocker dug it enough himself to return to SNL a year later and did a duet

Which was extremely funny, I remember it well... Sorry for Joe, I understand he'd been pretty ill, and there are worse things than death. RIP

I could never understand how the band and backup singers could perform without cracking up. Belushi nailed it, and Cocker's good-natured participation only made it better.

Favorite Cocker song was always "Cry Me A River" live with Leon Russell.
