COLOR-SEPARATOR/DESIGNER NEEDED at ACME PRINTS in Tempe, AZ
AcmePrints is looking for a screen printing color separator with strong design knowledge and ability. This is a key role in our small, personal business (12 people), and we want to find a friendly, knowledgeable person who wants to help us grow and grow with us. Monday through Friday, 8-5 or 9-6.
Qualifications:
• A genuine interest in giving people a great product.
• A positive outlook and attitude. We have a strict ‘no a-holes’ policy.
• Outstanding, in-depth knowledge of both Photoshop & Illustrator, including channels, masks, PS & AI layer modes, AI gradients, clipping masks, etc.
• The willingness & desire to figure out what needs to be done on ANY project given to you without requiring a hand to be held (within reason, of course).
• Excellent organizational skills, such as prioritization, follow-up and follow-through.
• Ability to concentrate and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Highly motivated, reliable, and productive.
• Detail-oriented with high accuracy.
• Previous art separation for screen printing is a huge advantage.
Starts between $10 and $17 per hour, depending on prior experience & skill level. If you can show you’re a lightning-fast, seps superhero in advance, higher starting pay is possible. We are very good with raises for people who are doing a great job. If you’re kicking butt, we’re going to give you raises accordingly because we’ll want to keep you around.
Please note that color separating for screen printing is completely unrelated to pre-press for all other types of printing. 95% of this position is color separation, not design.
