persistent problems with tri-blend blanks.

honestly, I prefer IR flashes over quartz...i find i have less waste with them and more even flashes.

I've seemed to have good luck with AA tri-blends.

Other brands have been a killer for me.

I've recently had a hell of a time with Canvas 3001U (made in USA) in Dark Grey Heather (52% cotton and 48% polyester). Which I find odd because it's just a 50/50 mix, but it behaved like a tri-blend.

we have a quartz on the auto and some color triblends are a disaster. the "black" or "dark heather" triblends cant take the quartz heat at all. they melt so fast its ridiculous. we always have to raise up the flash and put the intensity down a bit.  but one customer we print for uses a lot of the blue and maroon canvas brand shirts. i feel like i can flash the heck out of those and they do not shrink or melt or anything. but the canvas dark heather/black ones shrink like crazy.

Red Chili D flash here..... We print tri blends almost daily with it and it's perfect...... If we use one of our other quartz style flashes the shirt melts in about .5 seconds LOL
