If I were a newbie or newbie-ish, I would seek to attend, the more knowledge the better. It seems like a good idea, especially to get a handle on PS, which does not work like a vector program, so some guidance is going to be very beneficial.

I get PS fairly well... no expert by any stretch.  My production manager gets illustrator but has a hard time wrapping his head around PS, he's still stuck in illustrator mode of thinking.  I can teach him things, but if this would be good for REALLY separating then I might be interested... but we are talking about like $1,500-$2,000 to get there and back... so unless we are going to be gaining REAL knowledge that can't be gained on youtube videos, I can't see it being worth that much coin and down production.
