Update iphone to new ios 8.0.2
« on: October 05, 2014, 01:19:39 PM »
A bevy of questions:
Have you done it?

Did you have enough disc space initially to do it over the air? (especially relevant to those with only 16 GB)

If not did you delete some apps or use itunes from your computer?

What if you don't have (and don't want) itunes on your computer?

How much more space does the new OS take over os7 once it dumps all of the old and any temp stuff it needed?
That rug really tied the room together, did it not?

My wife has and regrets it. She wants to go back to the previous version. Mostly an issue with keeping you in something. It randomly and frequently kicks her out of something, Facebook, games ets.

She did download via Itunes and of course, has had I tunes.
All of the other questions, I can't answer.

I've heard nightmares (leading to two fixes in less than a month) and of course, Apple touts its coolness.

First thing many of us with 16 GB phones see is that there is not enough available disc space. The choices are to delete and/or move some stuff if updating over-the-air, or to go through itunes on another computer connected via usb to the phone, so the temporary space needed for two operating systems on the phone is bypassed I assume.

On machines with the option, I don't play no stinkin' itunes!

If I decide to bite the bullet on the new OS, I'll probably just dump my music temporarily, as that's my biggest space hog.

Just curious as what the rest of the TSB iphone nation is doing.

Nice!

I honestly do hate my iPad 4... it was free and it's convenient... but I'd prefer android all day.
