screen reclaim scrub pads

What is everyone using? Particularly the S mesh users as I want to make the move to them soon.

Is anyone buying there scrub pads in bulk, as opposed to getting them from the regular supplier?

I use whatever red pads Kevin sells at river city.  Before that I was using shitty walmart pads.  Never had any problems with wear.  I check my mesh under a loupe somewhat regularly...

They come in various abrasivenesses. Red white and blue but I can't remember which is which. White may be the softest?

White is softest but hard to find. Blue is the roughest

Easiway 701 and 3M C31 jumbo sponges.


Or a soft gong brush.


I avoid scrubbers on mesh altogether.

The brush color lets you know how abrasive they are.  The lighter the color the brush the less abrasive they are; the darker it is the more abrasive it is.

i've been using these for a few years now. Work awesome in both the squeegee tank and the reclaim tank.

Those scrubby pads break down and get stuck in the drains

I've always used the scrub pads, but they do break down like John mentioned.

I'm also worried if scrubbing with them would be bad for smart mesh.

I'm assuming I could find one of these gong brushes at the local Home Depot. Is there a bristle type I should make sure to get? Also, how long do these last? Should I be planning on stocking up on a lot of these if I like them? Or just grab a couple for backups? Are these safe to use with smartmesh?

Oddly, our cat hates them.  I can chase him with them and he will hiss at them.  Very strange.

you can look, all i ever saw was stiff bristle.

I bought maybe 6 gonglike brushes at lowes home depot and autozone to test.  All were too stiff.

The blue colored ones from harbor freight are nice and soft...  and cheap too.. only problem is that they don't like the Xenon plastisolv we use in our parts washer... (they only last a few weeks..)

I just bought the one linked above to test.  I'll let everyone know if it works for me as well.

the ones I use from Zoro are made from Polypropylene so they are chemical resistant.

the bristles will sag after a few months but thats more from general use than degradation of the materials. ,
