Shane I talk with a fellow at Action at the ISS show in Atlanta about the floods, I was going to buy the 16 but he said it wouldn't work.  Yes that would be Lance that advice me to get 14teens...they just work better in the frames I use, Lance allso said having to large of a squeege would put to much stress on the edge of the frames (statics).
If I had to go with a 15 I think I could heat them up and bend them in some if there to wide to work correct or vice versa on the 14.
Rich tossed his two cents in, so I'd like to here from him what he has to offer if Action has to have such a hugh order, I believe Rich said we could order a small amount from him.

OK, here's the scoop with Action. Minimum order will be 12. These will not become a stock item, so if we want more later it will be a minimum order of 12 again. Turn around time is approximately 4 weeks. Depending on total quantity they make offer us a quantity discount. As of now, here is our pricing:

15" winged flood bar: $79/ea
14" winged flood bar: $75/ea

M&R's website shows 16" flood bars. Rich, let us know if you have 14" or 15" that are not listed. That could be an easier option for everyone. Thanks!

I will have to double check. I think we need 14" with the wings. But I am sure we all use the same size screens and would require the same flood bars.

Bob, you have a Titan, right? What size screen frames do you use.

Yes... I have the Titan.
I use mostly 20x28 panelframes and 20x24 panelframes.
The panelframes are pretty low tension (14-18 n/cm), but the mesh must be a fine thread because the ink clears well.
I've got 20x24 Newmans and 23x28 Newmans that I'll be modifing to make 20x28 frames for jobs requiring higher tension.

I'd be down for 3 winged floodbars (would prefer 14", but could use 15").

I was just going to suggest that you could make some franken-frames using various long and short rollers.  If you use stock sizes I'll bet you can even order them this way without paying an upcharge.  Would a 31" long frame make it into the Titan?  That might be easiest for you roller frame guys, you could order MZX frames with 31" long rollers and 21" short.  The extra 3" could just hang out there maybe.

I actually now have 25 21x26 frames and 25 23x23 frames. My understanding is 31" is too long to go, but I may need to investigate.

Rich, great to hear! Thanks!

Where you guys getting these odd size frames from?  I tried to cut down a 23x31 roller frame whoever put it together didn't ever mean for it to come apart.

Just talk with Rich about half hour ago so we,ll see what he has, plus he is willing to make the amount we want...Action don't seem to think this size flood has a market.

Thanks Rich

I also have 20"x24" and 20"x28" panel frames also 40 18"x20" MZX Rollor Frames. I think the 14" flood bar with wings would be the right size for 20"x24"s or 20"x28". Does Action Make 14" squeegee holders?

I have a hunch the 14" squeegee holder may be a special make as well. Darryl are you just centering the 14" squeegee in the 15" holder, or do you have a special holder?

CC, how do you like the panel frames?

I will make a 14" that can be expanded to 15" and send to 3 deep for evaluation. If he likes it I will make a standard part and you can order one at a time

Shane everything was cut 14" from the factory before thay shipped our press, holders ,floodbars, squeegees.  The 14's have did everything we have needed them to do, now if I get those winged flood I might be in high cotton, I hate to card ink when I,m on a roll.

Rich,

Thanks for helping with this.  If Daryl likes them I will order 3-6 of them to start.  Thanks again.
