Shur Loc Squeegee Clean 8/1
« on: August 01, 2014, 08:01:36 AM »
Anyone have one of these?
Tricks or tips?

Planning on using Easiway 842 Screen/Press wash...

We didn't know to get the squeegee holder with the unit, so we will free hand today
and try to clean us some squeegees..Not sure how the winged floods will works, but will give it
a good college try..

Wondering if this will make our regular flood/squeegee parts cleaner sink obsolete.

Great tool that will make your production floor life easier.

We have found IR-4 from Satti Chem mixed 3 parts water to 1 part IR-4 provides a great mix.

Avoid putting too much liquid in the unit and don't spin the wheels too fast of you will have a rooster tail of sludge shooting on the floor and you.

The IR-4 also minimizes the foaming/bubbling that some of the other products we have tried creat.

Enjoy,

We really dig ours, it see's 20-30 squeegees a day & we reuse a lot of them  before cleaning. We have beat the heck out of it for two years now & it still keeps doing the job. At first I was a bit worried about the brushes not lasting but there still going, a bit beat up but going.

They are pretty nice. As was already said, lower fluid levels and slower turning give better results.

The squeegee holder is not necessary at all, also skip the adapter for a drill if they still sell it.

Yep, go with 3/4 of a gallon (1 qt cleaner to 2 qts water) if you are using the IR-4 or the kinder/gentler IR-14... I don't know the mix ratio on the 842, but I would start with a lighter mix (probably 2 water to 1 chem) and work up from there if it doesn't clean easily. It looks like the 842 is pretty harsh though, so as long as the MSDS doesn't have an issue mixing with water, I would start there. Contact your sales rep for proper dilution methods and shoot for 3/4 of a gallon total.

And thank you for all the positive reviews folks! We love hearing good things!

We got one a few months ago. We find that it splatters degrader everywhere. We're needing to buy some shower curtains or something, but i haven't gotten around to it. It you don't mind the splatter it's great. It just makes our floor slippery.  So far ours has been sitting unused for months waiting for me to figure out the splatter problem.

We had the EXACT problem, trust me try this-
Fill it only so maybe 1/4" of the bottom of the brushes are in the degradent. Then turn the handle SLOW.

I didn't like ours right off the bat, but one day I stayed late when we had a bad storm, after 1.5hrs I figured it out!

Be sure to crank counter clockwise and fast as you can... If that doesn't work, I'll take it off your hands. ;)

Anyone interested in a slightly used Squeegee Clean model at a pretty good discount? We have a barely used model that is being offered up at $450... I can pass details on to the seller if you are interested.
