Production Supervisor opening

Screen printing knowledge is  must. Even though our shop has two small auto presses, our shop still does nearly 70% of our work on manual presses. Are you an expert technician. This is a management job not a production job.

The production supervisor reports to the production manager and is a member of the SDG production leadership team. The production supervisor trains, coordinates, and implements policies and procedures on the production floor.

The production manager is the overall leader of SDG production implementation. With the production supervisor, they are the executional leaders, and report directly to our operations manager.


Work Experience

Must have knowledge of the many varieties of cloth textiles that come through our facility.  Base knowledge of screen printing processes and techniques including manual, auto, and numbering  machines used to decorate garments.

Skills and Competencies

Excellent verbal communicator at all levels and with different sizes of audiences is essential. Ability to reason and make sound judgement calls in the face of adversity.

Ability to build high performing teams that involve mutual accountability for results; goal orientated

Ability to focus on organizational growth, financial performance and achieving results/.

Ability to manage conflict through assertive and decisive behavior while maintaining composure in difficult situations.

Demonstrated mechanical aptitude

Good computer skills.



Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Manage, direct and coordinate all activities related to a production shift to maximize productivity and minimize cost while maintaining quality.

 Production floor typically works 30-35 employees.

 Ensure the safety of all employees by training and enforcing safety policies, including mobile equipment safety protocols

 Coordinate daily schedule to ensure production requirements are achieved.

 Carry out supervisory responsibilities including training employees; planning, assigning & directing work; appraising performance; rewarding & disciplining employees; addressing complaints & resolving problems.

 Ensure all production data is gathered and reported correctly on a daily basis.

 Support & improve upon Quality initiatives designed to meet facility goals.

 Initiate, complete and implement problem solving techniques to correct production issues.

 Ability to work all shifts and weekend work
