What one Feature you can't do without on your press
« on: June 26, 2014, 03:04:19 PM »
There are so many, but picking one for me would be the air locks for the screens... I know it sounds stupid but just imagine locking screens manual.

Definitely agree with the air locks for the screens.  I had manuals on the javelin to start, and modifying them for air locks made a HUGE difference in setup times.

Self locking micros. No need to stop the press for adjustments.

Moving from an older machine without central off contact (and then further that with precise .01" increment change ability) I think that one saved us a ton of time due to changing from all the different types of garments.  But then the tool-less settings like angle adjustment, air locks, etc., that's a time saver as well.  I hated having to carry around an allen wrench to change squeegee angle.  Swapping pallets now takes minutes versus 15 minutes on the old press.  And last but not least, I'm fond of having a digital number for every important setting on our press that it makes going to something without it seem pretty crazy.  There is nothing better than setting up a repeat 7 color job and looking at the job folder and being able to set each color back exactly like it was the last time we printed it and assuming we used the same mesh counts, the job will look identical.

The "start" button ;D

Seriously I would put another vote in for self locking micros and would like to add, registration system.

Lifting print carriages. I honestly don't know if I could use a press that doesn't have them.
Every time I see a video of someone installing or removing a squeegee, finagling it in through the side
above a screen, it makes me cringe. All presses should have this feature.

while there are many, I would not under any reasonable circumstance buy a press that uses standard screen clamps. The pin/bushing setup and FPU (or DTS) are more important than anything else I can think of.

this is one of the major selling points for MHM and Sroque in my opinion.

I was having a hard time picking. Self locking micros, auto locking pallets, or as Pierre said the FPU / screen holders on the MHM.

Do the SRoques actually detach the print arm from the screen holder, or does just the whole thing lift?
