Greetings from a newbie.
« on: June 18, 2014, 03:42:03 PM »
Hi all!
I'm Brad Cress and we've bought a small shop that the owners retired. I'm totally new to the industry. I've spent the past 27+ years doing custom picture framing and retail camera sales.
We're actually a division of a large wholesale distributor that wanted to try a small retail side.
My wife is the at director at a large corporation here in Terre Haute, IN. She has both a graphic art and fine art degree. She's keeping her day job! LOL
I will be reading a lot as I learn.
We have some very nice equipment as the previous owners were "particular". Now learning the process.
Thanks in advance for your help
Brad

Welcome Brad

I bet that a list of the weapons in your arsenal would prove interesting as well as helpful as your questions start coming.
That rug really tied the room together, did it not?

Yes, we've won our share of awards, and yes, I've tested stuff and read the scientific papers, but ultimately take everything I say with more than just a grain of salt! So if you are looking for trouble, just do as I say or even better, do something I said years ago!

Thanks everyone for the welcome. Since everything is in storage right now it took me awhile to inventory it. So without further ado here's list of weapons:
MR Chameleon 4 station / 6 color press
Atlas #824D belt dryer
another 24" by 8" belt dryer
unknown brand exposure vacuum unit (glass is about 30 x 36)
16 x 20 Hotronix swing away press
4 color CAPS hat press w/flash
16 x 16 Atlas flash unit
HC-218 Blackflash unit (BF4-50005)
a mug Thermal Transfer Press
a Quick set cap heat press
1.5hp , 30 gallon Sanborn air compressr
well over 250+ screens of various mesh (mostly aluminum)
and of course all the other assorted platens, jacket clamps, etc.........
So we've got a big arsenal. Now we have to get ti set up and running.
