Squeegee - Flood --- Automatic Washing Equipment
« on: June 02, 2014, 06:30:35 PM »
Lets talk about automatic cleaning equipment.

To be specific.. automatic squeegee-flood-tool cleaning machines

So who has one..

Who has used one..

Who knows who has one..

I've used one in the past, and it was a $30k piece of junk that dinged all of our flood bars, leaked all over the floor and left ink in the nooks of the blade holders. Hopefully in the 10 yrs since then, leaps and bounds have been made.

Shurloc Squeegee clean. Not sure if it qualifies as automatic, but it works well.

That thing works great.. with some limitations and it's manual, not auto.

M&R has something. Not sure what it's called or what it costs.

I hate in these videos how they use a squeegee that looks like someone dabbed the very bottom of the squeegee in ink.  Who after filling their ink well with ink and does some good high speed printing actually has a squeegee that looks like that.  Drives me crazy...show me how it works in a real world situation please!

Ha Ha I couldn't keep that little amount of ink on a squeegee if I was printing manually let alone on an auto.

The video was done at a trade show where the only dirty squeegees were in the presses. The ink was for demo purpose only. New Buffalo Shirt factory has the same unit and does hundreds of squeegees per day. Just a FYI

I don't doubt that it works it would just benefit everyone if the video demonstrated its true potential, especially if the time is being taken to make a video.
