My dehumidifier could not keep up

What backed-up and/or broke?  Looks like a water heater rusting out or a washing machine supply hose leaking.

No damage, at least not much. Whole day of cleaning yesterday and I will need to spend another few hours of sanitizing today.

Monday evening we had an insane amounts or rain in the area. The street in front of the house had 1.5 feet of water. My sewer backed up from it.
It was not a nice picture in the morning. Was a smelly one too

Luckily I was able to plug in the sewer line with old tees and stop the water at about 3-4 inches only. All machines are OK, everything is on coasters and at least 4-5 inches of the ground. Same with tees, all in boxes on wire shelves.

Glad that your damage was minimal.

Greg's mention of washing machine supply hoses is a good reminder though to shut that stuff off at home when gone for any extended times.

I recently had an unusual disaster as my kitchen sink supply valve blew its stem out and blasted for two or three minutes before I woke up and saw what was happening.
I can only imagine the damage had I not been there!

Dennis I know how you feel the laundromat next door to us flooded a few years back, water was running out our front door, feel ya pain brotha.
