CCI discharge base and Matsui retarder a no go?
« on: May 14, 2014, 08:14:25 PM »
Does not really work for us. We have tried it several times and we start getting little lumps in the ink once we`ve added the Matsui retarder to the CCI base. And those pesky little lumps clog up the the mesh pretty fast.Or is there anything we are doing wrong?

I wonder if the retarder might be off, it's been sitting on our shelf for a few years by now.
Will have to ask the guys at Matsui here in Japan, even though I know already what they will say.
Oh and yes I tried adding water, with no success of getting these lumps to dissolve.

If you have Matsui base sitting around. Try to add some retarder to see if you get the same results. If you don't, may be the retarder and CCI are not compatible.
