Starlight ordered
« on: May 04, 2014, 06:24:19 PM »
Decided to go starlight first route. Ordered Friday through our Nazdar rep. Found a home for our amergraphs. Proto is in existence for CTS so decided on this route first.  Let staff get up to speed. Then do the print on screen. Understand our orange emulsion is insane fast, so look to have one burn, one rinse, clear tomorrow's screens and assign other tasks. Free staff. Whee!!

Congratulations and thank you. Start out at 5 seconds and go up or down from there depending on how you coat.

You'll love it...  without a doubt, our #1 best purchase in all of our printing gear.

...ditto, all of the above. Recently tried some faster emulsion that exposed in less than ten seconds and overexposed over 15 sec. Its THAT fast.

...BTW, seems using these ultra-fast emulsions on these is pointless, at least from a film-users standpoint. A screen is done exposing before you even get the film removed from the previous exposed screen, which means it just sits there idle anyway.
Thanks TSB gang!!

yup. we added diazo to our PP to slow down the exposure time. we were at 5 seconds, now we're around 25ish...

we tried some HXT and it was still fast, I think we need  to get away from PP and go dual cure.
...keep doing what you're doing, you'll only get what you've got...

We are seeing around 32-55 on our exposure times.  This is from 230-125 mesh.  We are still playing a bit but I know we are within a couple of seconds of were we should be on each.
