Is discharge cheaper
« on: April 08, 2014, 01:20:48 PM »
Heck yes. Ex: 500 maroon shirts full circle white logo back, white palm/moon icon front pocket. One screen no flash on the auto, 90 sec setup 30 min print. One screen pocket 90 sec setup on manual about 90 minutes print one stroke no flash. WE HATE PLASTISOL!

Can issues arrive with discharge? Of course. But when everything is lined up including the garments it does make for great printing and business. Today we have a 600 piece order fronts and backs one color white discharge. Easy in and easy out. Last week we had a client I am slowly switching away from plastisol. Another 600 fronts and backs one color white on black. We just did a clear discharge underbase with plastisol on top. Faster, cheaper, and easier. And the client loved them. Already sold all of them!

Do you prewash or is that the end users responsibility?

Logo today similar to MasterCard. 6 colors on charcoal with 4 screens no halftones no UB. Soooooo much easier.

All garments whether printed or not need to be washed before being worn. You would be surprised what is in the dye of the shirt. Now those dye houses are some nasty business

I do it but I have some clients that swear their target user will wear a shirt several times before washing. The want it to look like new as long as possible.
