GrungeFace font
« on: April 11, 2014, 05:56:15 PM »
Anybody have it?   From my google search, it looks like it might have been a free mac font at one time???

If it's copyrighted and you can't just give me the font, anybody care to set a few lines of text for me?

Thanks!
-J

You might want to show us what it looks like, or something similar........grunge face font to me is just a category, like script fonts or gothic fonts.
I'm not a Mac gal so maybe I'm not making sense but when you say grunge face, in my mind it could be any one of thousands of different fonts that have a distressed look to them.

I'll post later, but the actual name of the font file is GrungeFace ... or at least that's what illustrator is complaining about :)

ah, I understand now
If you only need what's there, place the file in Illy and flatten..........at the very least the font will be converted to curves for you and you can see what the darn thing looks like.

What Diane said, "Place" it (be sure links is checked), Flatten Transparency with "Convert Text to Outlines" checked, and you should be good. Sometimes, it's all in a clipping mask, so you may have to release it to get the text...
