Spotting the redye
« on: April 16, 2014, 03:27:31 PM »
is there anyway to spot a redye before you get all the way to the end of the dryer?.....or blowing through a few dozen shirts only to cringe at the color?
...keep doing what you're doing, you'll only get what you've got...

With black, it usually looks a bit off, more of what they would call a shop black or rich black.
Beware right about now, slow St Patty's day = redye kelly. I know we didn't have any problem getting
in enough green 5000's this year.

But yeah, not really.

Also don't forget to check the tags. Different colors/sizes usually different countries

ok, so maybe we need to inspect the shirts designated for discharge a little better. We are just ASSUMING they are ok to run since I don't really know what to look for. We just ran some g2000 black smalls and they turned my yellow print green....

thanks guys, we will take a look at the tags and inspect the shade closer...

Spot check by eye first and then, if you have unbroken cases, do a tiny swab test inside bottom hem/somewhere inconspicuous and compare.  It often still gets past us though.
