Weird sound on Diamondback
« on: April 03, 2014, 11:30:17 AM »
This is an all air Diamondback R, anyone have any idea what that moaning sound is when the squeegee prints?

Same sound without squeegee? have you tried removing the air muffler on the valves? This is really short to watch and not enough information.

Will try it without squeegee today. It's done it on a couple of heads now. Will try to get a longer video today.

Uh… so…

We have platen tape on the back of each head to catch stray ink that may fly out when our squeegees run. Well, the platen tape was rubbing up against something (I wasn't there when they realized this) and it's all better now….

Just glad it wasn't something serious like a part breaking down!!
