The beauty of the 14" platen

Works for youth and most adult designs..........far less frequent pallet changes. One of the autos is equipped thusly and haven't changed platens in years.

Lot's of times we will put our youth pallets on the press, 12", and they will stay on there for longer than intended because a lot of what we print fits on them as well.  I'd imagine a 14" would be even better.

I have 15" on my sidewinder. I can do youth sm thru adult sizes. The youth smalls are a little tough. My average print is 12" but lately been getting 13-14" wide prints.

I seem to do a lot of background screens that stretch to 15" wide, so the 16" pallets stay on most of the time, and my squeegees are almost all 14" wide so that inch on each side is great for not pressing off the edge on the manual. If I had an auto though where I could have 13.5 inch wide squeegees and guarantee they were always 1/4" from each edge of the pallet, I could see 14" being ideal for a large majority of jobs.

Printing L and XL men's shirts on 14" platens leads to slower printing or more crooked prints for us. We only have one
set of 18" and we're constantly waiting on them. Luckily MHM platen changes take all of a minute.

Buying a set of 16" for just this reason.

Our standard pallet is 16x25.  We use that for Youth and adult.  We have some smaller pallets though if needed.

Exactly the same thing. Youth smalls are a bit tougher, but everything else works

14's on my Workhorse Manual work for more than 90% of my needs. Change 'em for youth smalls and some girlie things.
