Hey, all you old school folks...AMBERLITH FILM?

...anyone have a scrap of AMBERLITH film layin' around still? I know, I know...crazy, huh? I have a small fluorescent tube sandwiched in a tight space, used as a backlight on my pre-reg. A section of UV sleeve is too big, so I'm thinking maybe I could wrap the bulb in some amberlith. I checked the 'net and only found some rubylith on ebay under "antiques", so....
...a section as small as approx 16x4 would probably work, but will take a bigger piece if you have it...Would ultimately like to cover the entire glass underside with it if available....that's about 18x24.
...sooo, any packrats here
? if so, lemme know how to work out a deal!

Mr.Tees!! you can go with some colored acrylic cut to size. Maybe a local sign shop, or, here it is at Tap Plastics in either yellow or amber about $10

Actually, Ulano made both Rubylith, which is red, and Amberlith, which is amber (orange) colored. I have some rubylith around, but no amber, sorry.

I would think Ruby would be too, who would still be using it? We used to hand cut seps in the old, old days with it, and I used to cut positives for elections signs with it, but now I can spit out a piece of film more quickly...

I used rubylith on the windows of my basement washout room... at least that way I get a bit of natural light in still, and I can see people walk up.
I can leave a screen out for days in there without a problem.
