So a few weeks ago we had a screen rip mid job. I found a hex head little screw in the ink, which obviously was the culprit. I knew it looked familiar, but looking around the press, I couldn't figure out where it was from. Last night one of the girls is pulling shirts and a screw flies up and nails her in the forehead, funny and all, but, man, where the heck are these coming from. This morning I'm going nuts trying to figure this out. I found, under our Reno Flash, (of course after first unplugging it, and then pulling it off the press), there are 4 little hex head screws about 3/8" long that hold the heat panel in. The two flying screws came from there, and I found 1 hanging on by it's last thread, and the last one working it's way about half unscrewed. Tightened everything back up, we are good to go. BUT, if you ever find any screws from your press, make sure you find out where they are from. Could you imagine if we didn't find them, or waited too long before narrowing down. That panel could have dropped out at 1,000 degrees mid index. Talk about a recipe for disaster. Thank God we found it before it was too late!!!
Happy Friday ya'll!!
