Just one observation on this question.

"You simply don't know what you don't know!"

Flipping through the mags, paper or on-line, allow me to see things from a different perspective.

Tony is right, some misleading info out there so you have to take individual responsibility.  Always keep in mind what works at one scale of operation could put you out of business at another.

Very true Greg, back in the day I would try and price with other shops in my area, which is fine but found out quick I needed to price what worked in my shop and try and set myself apart from them.

I was going to reply to this, but as usual, Tony's reply is better, on point, and rather concise.   ;)

I think you can get two or three years worth of one of them and have 90% of the good info they print...
