CCI Aquablock
« on: March 06, 2014, 07:29:24 PM »
Finally got the chance to test the stuff. To be honest it's the sort of product/situation that
you're kind of nervous about trying out.

Well, it works. We only used it on three smaller discharge jobs, 100 pieces or so. Meshes from 180-280.
I wouldn't exactly call it quick drying, but maybe we applied it a bit thick.

At any rate, it works.

we tried it last month. Had pretty good results, but also found it a little hard to wash out.

I saw great results on screens that ran 500-1000 DC or HSA prints recently.  It was still hanging on for dear life after all the emulsion was removed, yet removable with a little extra pressure washer encouragement.  I was nervous too.  Sold on it, it's just what we've been looking for.  We've managed to use it, and another technique to practically reduce a step in screen prep and significantly improve the flow of screens.

I've been useing it since LB.  Have ran multiple 500-1K jobs of DC with no issues.

i had found that it dried really fast. We just used little beads of it, and rubbed it in.

Card it on.  Dries about as fast as a blue blockout pen touchup.  That's it.  We are applying after hardening.  We keep our blockout in contact solution bottles.

Don't have an invoice handy for the cost.  I think they gave us this gallon free though.

We just started using  the Xenon Hardener..
Apply liberally to dry, exposed screens using a sponge.
We let the screens dry again, and then rinse to insure the open areas are open.
Dry again, and ready to go.  The hardener will dry on the screens in around 5 minutes.
No worries on the reclaim.

$25 /gallon

I put it on pretty think, just in case, and was drying out in the open, and it has been raining recently. So there's that.

I didn't get to watch reclaim but haven't heard anything yet.

I was chasing down the Kiwo product for months but never found it, go to CCI's web page and it's there
on the front. I hate them for that.
