Does anyone know the type of polyester used in carrier sheets, i.e., tri-lock and pin-lock? I'd like to just order some and have it punched or punch our own for our pin-lock system
$390 + ship for a box of 100....and these are the short ones.
I've defended Newman product costs a number of times but this seems disrespectful to the people who have invested in this system. There's no way polyester sheets with a few holes drilled in them cost that much to produce and make a profit from. The "short" ones are still too big and we cut them down further so I also have an hour/two of labor per box and they will not cut custom for us. The ones we buy from them scuff up immediately and don't last too long. These are not high precision pieces, so long as the holes are consistently sized/drilled/punched that's all that matters.
Looking back on the cash we've spent on these makes me feel like a sucker now. For the cost I could have built a system that punches the film itself which is maybe what I should start doing now instead of throwing money away on these sheets.
