I have seen all of the control panel stuff. I am curious how they do the i/o? I didn't know if it was some off the shelf system or a custom i/o board. Don't post anything on the site that is propritary. I don't want to get myself or anyone else in trouble for that matter. I didn't mean to make a big deal out of this.

For what it is worth I am working on a retrofit PLC for the Javelin. I started with a DirectLogic PLC and have some of it working. I started thinking the touch screen was cool and one thing has lead to another and now I have a nettop pc powering a 3M Touchstone touchscreen monitor. I can connect that to the PLC and eliminate my old analog control panel. The more I look at it I think with the right i/o board I can control everything from the pc itself and eliminate the PLC. To make this perfectly clear I am not intending to copy Anatol or any other manufacturer for that matter.

I am currently looking at possibly using something like this:

Do you think you can upgrade to that interface  from the 6 month old Titian?

The user interface can be configured to look like anything. That is actually the easy part. The control will be the more difficult. Once I get it done it should be able to be configured for any older press that uses a PLC. Mine is a 6/8 but since it is configurable I will just have to rearrange the interface to add more heads. The i/o ports and control will be configurable too. Once I have it running on mine I will be looking for someone with a 10/12 (maybe a M&R) to upgrade!

Is the Titan all air? Does it use MAC valves?

You have sparked my curiosity for sure. I’ll try to get you some pics next week. They just look like circuit boards to me  :D

If it means anything to you they all have PCB## printed on them, and they do look a bit different than the pic you posted. Much more stuff on them..?

The machine got switched to a 6/8 standard Titan at the last minute...

Turns out a customer needed our original show machine more than we did....  :'(

So sadly no... I didn’t get to see one in person.

When I finally lay hands on one, I will be sure to let you know what I find out.
