have an epson 1400 running accurip and allblack.
Ryonet USED to carry the ONE TIME USE all black ink cartridges. They were properly chipped and color/slot specific in use. They looked and felt and worked EXACTLY like true color replacements, it's just that they had black in only in them. THEY WORKED FINE.
Now they've switched to a SLIGHTLY cheaper version that slot specific FRAMES that are RE-USABLE, and then want to sell you universal cartridges that snap into the frame.
The problem with this new system is that the Frame/universal does NOT communicate truthfully to the computer as to HOW MUCH INK YOU HAVE USED/HAVE LEFT. I am tired of wasting ink and hours when it comes near to the time when they are running out.
WHO CARRIES THE ONE-TIME USE all-black system???
