I hear what your saying about donation , But this is a big oil company that in the past sent old signage , pump toppers etc to landfill and images of them at the dump have been used against
them in the past by tree huggers. 
You would be surprised at the amount of stuff my friend destroys. Recently it was a machete's from a major retailer that deemed the end too pointy! and they had to be cut
into 3 pieces counted and then sent for recycle 10 containers worth because of a customer complaint!

He's going to see if a document shredder can also do tees.

With the client being a large oil company, they could send the shirts to their oilfield projects for rags. There is money to be made in doing t'shirt rags.
