Job from hell

We're trying to print Sport Tek 100% poly black with a six spot color print and a white underbase.  When we pull the shirt off the press the colors are nice and bright but after it goes thru the dryer the colors look muddy - mostly the solar blue and orange.  We've tried Wilflex Quick White and Wilflex Poly White as UB and get the same results.  White is laying on top not driven in. Dryer temp is cut way back.  Any ideas on what we're missing?

I can only tell you the quick white is not the best option here - I use poly white, 156 mesh or around there.

Steve you may want to bring the temp back up and zip them through at maybe twice the speed.

Wilflex UB gray? Works for me.

Is it bleeding or is your underbase sinking into the fabric? I've seen weird
things like that happen on poly....

It looks like the UB is sinking into the fabric.  I tried pics but they look better than the shirt - maybe i should just tape pictures on the backs of them.  Throw a 100% cotton on there and no problem.   We're using a tight 230 for the UB and 305s for the colors.

I can certainly to play with the dryer temp.  I'm so desperate that I'm about ready to throw cotton white in just to see what it'll do or cut the UB screen back to a 156.

I assume given the mesh count that this is sim process? 230 UB mesh isn't helping

Use a super poly white and unless your under base is on 110 or lower PFP your under base.  Then they will look amazing.

Where does one get a super polywhite?  That's what I need.  I'd go UB grey unless the colors don't lend to using grey, or mix in some grey to the white, which I haven't tried but some say is great, if you need the white to make the colors pop, use the most open mesh the art will allow.  We use a donut probe and try to hold the ink to minimum 320 max 330 on wilflex polywhite which makes a huge difference, but even then some shirts will bleed.
