I don't use em, just raw mesh, but will toss this out.

Any chance the roller frames are a bit bigger than the panel are supposed to fit in?

That would cause them to have more stress in the corners, the weakest point.

i don't think so, as we specifically asked for 23x26" panels.

Also for to clear some confusion, these were ripping, even before being tightened, but i generally try and go no higher than 25-30n on these frames!

By before tightening, I'm assuming u mean locking the bolts down with torque.  Right?

Someone asked and I didn't see an answer.  Any chance the meter is not accurate?  Has it ever been calibrated?

correct!

and yes the meter has been calibrated. Most likely due for another calibration as it's been about a year, but it was calibrated at stretch devices. I believe we sent it in last feb or march!

I don't have any more guesses, but do have a question.

Not having ever used panels, are the corners pretty floppy (when they don't rip)?

Or do they tend to snug up pretty well?

typically they are engineered to be soft enough for that to not be an issue. at least in all the panel experiences i've had.

This is a strange one leading me to believe a bad batch, but shurloc has always had a very tight grip on engineering them so this doesn't happen.  But stranger things have happened.  The pic looks like they ripped right at the locking strip?
