Thermochromic, Photchromic and Hydrochromic inks

Has anyone done any work or know of a source for thermochromic, photchromic or hydrochromic inks? These are inks that change color when exposed to Heat,UV or Water respectively.

Feel free to PM responses if you'd rather not post it here.

the kicker would be these would be for printing on T-shirts or possible towels....

LCR Hallcrest has photochromic plastisol ink.  their # is 847 998 8580.  I believe it was Paul Lange that i spoke with.  results were better in some cases/colors and worse in others, so testing would be required for sure.

We never had real good results with the photochromic inks from one stroke. How did you print them? Was it on a white T? White underbase?

'used photo and thermochromic with good results. Thermo was a hand me down and the Photo was from Union Ink.

I doubt if it's available anymore, but back in the 80's, we printed an assload of
so-called "magic tees" ...we used a custom made "liquid crystal" ink over a Black base (or on Black shirt). Got it from a local place called (I believe) "Genie industries". (Same stuff that was on the base of "mood ring" stones.) First I've heard of anything like it in a long time..."Thermochromic", eh? I need to get out more! LOL!

Matsui claims to make all these types of ink, and more, but I sent them an email for more info and where to find them and I got no response.
